# How to activate Patreon

How to make the most of your Patreon subscription

1. Once you have Subscribed, please ensure you[ link your Discord account to your Patreon](https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-gb/articles/212052266-Getting-Discord-access) account. This automatically gives you the Patreon role in our [Support server](https://discord.gg/rT9cZD3tkA).
2. Please wait at least <mark style="color:green;">5 minutes</mark>
3. Navigate to the <mark style="color:red;">**Server you want your benefits**</mark> in and run the activate command. `/premium activate`

You **MUST** [link your Discord account to your Patreon](https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-gb/articles/212052266-Getting-Discord-access) account.

The Patreon supporter must run `/premium activate` with their own Discord account. You also need the **Administrator** or **Manage Channels** permission, or a role that an admin gave access to this command.

Your Patreon gives premium to **one** server. If you run `/premium activate` in a different server, your benefits move to that server. The first server loses premium.

## If your membership changes

<mark style="color:red;">InHouseQueue</mark> checks Patreon every hour.

* If you change your tier, your server gets the new tier automatically.
* If your membership ends, or your Discord account is not linked to Patreon, your server loses premium. The bot also deletes your premium settings (for example banners, colors, team names, ready penalties, best of series and decay settings).
* If you leave Tier 3, your custom bot stops.
